We’re hiring an Executive Assistant
Role Introduction
The Executive Assistant provides executive, administrative, and development support to the Managing Director.
The Executive Assistant serves as a primary point of contact for clients, associates, and partner organizations on matters pertaining to the Managing Director. They organize and coordinate outreach efforts and oversee/implement special projects.
This role is ideal for candidates who love to get the details right, whether they are editing reports or documenting decisions from a client meeting. The Executive Assistant is a self-starter who gets their energy from identifying solutions alongside gaps or issues.
When evaluating qualified candidates, preference will be given to candidates who have lived experience of disability.
This is a full-time permanent salaried position, with an annual salary of $67,392 based on a 36-hour work week.

Typical Workday
Each day starts with a team check in. This includes sharing priorities for the day and responding to sudden change requests from our clients.
After the check in, the Executive Assistant may attend meetings with the Managing Director to take notes and ensure prompt follow up on next steps and commitments. This includes scheduling next meetings, setting up an Eventbrite page or Microsoft booking page, or coordinating accessibility services for an upcoming community engagement session.
They will be the first contact for our associates and contractors, confirming their availability to join a project team, and receiving invoices and signed agreements.
The Executive Assistant will support the sales process by responding to incoming queries and researching customer leads for the Managing Director. Some days they may meet with the whole team to collaborate on new product offerings or working independently to propose a new process to improve the whole team’s workflow.
Work Environment
- This position works remotely from anywhere in BC (candidates must be available during general office hours for the Pacific Time zone).
- Regular collaboration and development available via regular video-conference meetings, virtual team messaging/chat tools, emails or telephone calls.
