About us

Our work is rooted in the social model of disability, and emphasizes a people-centred approach, led by our team of experts and cross-country collaborators who have lived experience of the challenges we help to solve.

We create impact by working in partnership with our clients to develop practical solutions using proven, facilitated, human-centric processes. Our clients work with us because they want a partner who can translate legislative requirements into relatable, operationally relevant actions for their teams.

Our team is a living example of accessibility principles in action. The majority of hours on any project are contributed by professionals with disabilities. We apply accessibility best practices to our design of meetings, our deliverables, and the way we build relationships with our clients.

Our story

We launched soon after the passing of the Accessible BC Act and the Accessible Canada Act. We knew that regulated organizations would need expert guidance interpreting the requirements in the legislation. We thought an accessibility consulting firm rooted in a modern understanding of disability and spotlighting the expertise of disabled professionals could offer fresh, powerful solutions to accessibility barriers.

Since our launch, more provinces have adopted accessibility legislation. The federal government has released accessibility standards that paint a fuller picture of what it means to provide accessible services, employment, and environments. We’re delighted to see this growing national commitment to inclusion and equitable access.
