Accessible instructional design

We provide our accessibility subject matter expertise and technical knowledge to create online courses that conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards.

Designed and informed by learning and development professionals with lived experience of disability and a deep knowledge of accessibility, our instructional design process embraces the disability justice principle of “Nothing about us without us” and ensures all your learners will be able to access your curriculum.

In addition to designing e-learning, we also develop instructor-led workshops and train-the-trainer programs.

Here’s what to expect:

  • We begin with a discovery session to explore your current state, needs, and ideal future state.
  • We work with you to assess the tools and designs you’re currently using, applying our accessibility framework.
  • We use co-design and other inclusive methodologies to engage with and generate ideas from learners with disabilities in your organization to inform and validate next steps.
  • Depending on our scope of work, we make the identified design updates to your existing materials or deliver new learning content ready for upload into your Learning Management System.
  • In addition to designing e-learning, we also develop instructor-led workshops and train-the-trainer programs.
